This happened in 2019. I was living alone in a tiny apartment and had just gotten off a night shift around midnight. I put my phone on the charger and jumped in the shower. When I came out, I saw a missed call from my own number. I thought it was a glitch until I opened the call log and saw it had lasted 6 seconds.

No voicemail. But under “recent calls” it said “answered”. That freaked me out because I hadn’t picked up any call. I checked my carrier app and it logged the outgoing and incoming call as separate events, both from my number, 6 seconds apart. I tried to tell myself it was a SIM error or spoofing, but the next night, same thing — 12:17 AM, missed call from my own number.

I switched phones a few months later and it never happened again. Still can’t explain it. Anyone else ever had their own number call them?
